My fiance’s petname for me is squishy. I adore it. And it isn’t because he likes to love on my love handles. The name sort of transcends many facets of my personality, one of which is an affection for shiny things. I love gadgets. Here are a few that I’ve come across that I have my eye on ;)
I’m really trying to give up soda. But with this little guy, it’s just too cute not to love.

I don’t have an iPad yet. I’ve been going back and forth about either updating my iPhone to the new iPhone4 (or 5 this summer perhaps?) or to get an iPad. It’s killing me. I looooove Apple. And when you get 10 hours of battery life, two new cameras, new design, faster processor…I mean seriously? What’s not to love.

So, I’m a liiiittle behind on this gadget. Most everyone should know by now that my internet is stupid not available at high speeds right now. It’s annoying, I hate it. Moving on. Seth and I invested in an Xbox not that long ago. It’s such a fun system. And even though I’m only using a data card, while I still had unlimited I wanted to try out the Netflix. It’s seriously one of the coolest features out there right now. You can easily stream movies, documentaries, tv shoes, you name it all without commercial interuptions. Seth’s biggest complaint is that Netflix doesn’t always host the newest releases right away. But I read recently that Netflix is moving away from DVDs (as is the world) so I have a feeling we’ll be seeing more releases, all available right with the click of the A button. Like I said, I’m sure everyone but me knew about this amazing option for those of us who refuse to get cable but I wanted to share my amazement. I was amazed.

I was so pleased with the performance of my trigger and receiver this weekend. I’ve got to play with them here and there but after a full wedding’s use I’m in love. I’ll be investing more money into strobe photography one day, but for now these are a must and a cheaper alternative to pocket wizards. Cybersync, thank you for making my life easy. PS- I even held on the receiver with RUBBER BANDS. Yeah. Ghetto + awesome.

I had a hard time coming up with a 5th item. It’s midnight. I’m stuck in the airport. I shot an awesome wedding yesterday that I had to literally refrain myself from jumping in the crowd and dancing along to the live band. My brain feels a little fried ;) But in light of my aching body craving more sleep, I’ve decided Showit ultimately deserves the final spot. I think I’ve passed on already that I touched up my website. I recently redid the about me section (which yes I know the font needs to be a touch bigger) and the fact that I could do it so easily is really where the shout out belongs. Showit is the company I use for my web design. It’s very popular amongst photographers because it’s so easy to use. Maybe one day I’ll do a whole little get up about the amazingness of the site. For now it’s just props.

I think my plane is here! Kentucky, here I come <3
