Um hello? *tink tink tink* Is this thing on? Oh yes, it is! Hello! I know, it’s been weeks. Shameful! You will be pleased to know I haven’t been sitting on my butt doing nothing. Well, I did a little bit of butt sitting but I have been doing photo stuffs too ;) I’ll have some neat info to be released in the upcoming weeks, and I promise I’ll be better about blogging. I felt like I was sort of being torn in lots of directions, life stuff was going on and I just didn’t have the chance to write as much as I wanted. I’ll get to that later though!
On a more wonderful note, I’m finally getting to my dear friend Becky’s retirement photos. A military retirement is such an amazing thing to witness. Becky has dedicated many years, both active duty and reserves, traveling around the world and ending her career here in California. She asked me to photograph her event and was so glad to be there both as a friend and to get to take pictures of such a cool military tradition. She looked absolutely over-the-moon-happy and I can’t wait to see what she takes on next. Hearing her laugh as friends stood up to tell old war stories (literally, war stories-both in the isles of wine bars and on foreign desert plains) was an absolute joy for me. We’re friends because we have SO much in common and I’m proud to share her awesome milestone. She’s taught me a lot about working hard and loving Nikon ;) I couldn’t narrow down the amount of photos from her day so I hope you enjoy them as much as I did!
